Synapse 2.0 is a free personal information manager.  You can use it to store research, personal notes, images, PDFs, and web pages.  Synapse allows you to organize your information hierarchically, search for keywords, create indexes and assign icons to each item; it comes with more than 1,000 icons with the ability to add more.   Synapse is completely free and fully functional; it contains NO SPYWARE, NO ADWARE, NO REGISTRATION, NO POPUPS, NO MALWARE, or any other unwanted software.  The final release will be free as well.  There is no catch; if you like it please feel free to donate or simply spread the word.

PLEASE NOTE: Synapse is currently available as an alpha release, meaning it should really only be used for testing and fooling about.  Testing has only occurred on Windows XP with Internet Explorer v6 thus far and while it has performed OK, it should not yet be considered a stable release.
